Dartmounth Democrat Debate

Here's my favorite quote from last night's Democrat debate at Dartmouth. When Hillary Clinton was asked who she would root for if both the Cubs and the Yankees made it to the World Series, she responded, "Well, I would probably have to alternate sides." This article also points out how Clinton's comments on U.S. use of torture also contradict her previous views. I guess when it comes to national security, Clinton would also alternate sides.

My favorite commentary about the debate comes to us from Powerlineblog.com, "Barack Obama provided the most thoughtful and (for the most part) direct answers. In the context of a Democratic presidential debate, that's a nice way of saying he lost." Very true, often time persuasion through confusion tends to be very effective for Democrat candidates.

Another interesting note is how Democrat candidates give answers in a way to please the far left-wing base, but give themselves wiggle room in their response. This is because what the far left wants would be poor and dangerous policy. An example of this is promising to get "combat troops" out of Iraq. Of course, this this would not include anti-terrorism and support troops.

If the most notorious anti-Semitic, genocide-inciting killer of American soldiers and Marines invited you to dinner, would you accept?
