Jon Ponder blogging on Pensito Review.com writes about a cover article featured in The American Conservative magazine titled:
‘Sycophant Savoir’ and subtitled “General Petraeus wins a battle in Washington — if not in Baghdad.”-
Jon's question? "will congress condemn it like they did the Moveon.org Ad?"
He concludes with:
"We’ll be waiting (but not holding our breath) to see if anyone drafts a similar measure condemning the American Conservative magazine."
Well I think we'll be waiting a long time. Consider the following:
The American Conservative is a Magazine not a newspaper, so it has no obligation to publish anything but it's opinion.
Second, Jon's probably never read The American Conservative, if he had he would know its NOT a conservative magazine at all.
So theres never been the expectation, especially from conservatives, that they write anything good about the Bush Administration or the Military. It's a political magazine.
