When it comes to abortion Barack Obama has demonstrated, by a vote as a state senator, he is as radically left-winged as one can get. While in the Illinois State Senate Obama voted against legislation that was intended to protect babies that survived abortions. At the time Obama stated that because the legislation would have required the hospital 'to call in an additional doctor (specialized in life stabilization), it would interfere with the woman's original decision to have an abortion.' Of course, in these cases the babies are breathing and living, and therefore the woman's original decision should morally become moot. Predictably, the media has given Obama a pass on this radical position. Why? Because Obama has given the media his excuse for the vote, and the media has said 'Okay, that sounds good enough.' His excuse now that he is running for President? He would have voted 'yes' if the state legislation contained similar language to the federal version of the law. However, as Palin stated in a speech today (not covered in the main stream media) "there’s just one little problem with that story: the language of both the state and federal bills (were) identical."
In reality, however, the main stream media is aware of Obama's far left views on abortion, and so they choose to ignore the issue altogether. In the first two Presidential debates, not one question has been asked about the candidates' stance on abortion.
