Global Climate Change: Man vs. God

Global Climate change should not be a political issue. Where were the scientists before Al Gore came knocking on their door? Did it really take an ex-Vice President to wake up the scientific community?
With such a major cataclysm on the horizon, WHY didn't we here from the scientists earlier?

If we think back, what was it that allowed Al Gore to capitalize on the Global Warming market?
If your not a hermit with NO access to the outside world, you may even agree that earthquakes, wildfires, floods seem to be more common occurrences. Measured against our recent collective history we maybe could even say that global climate change is happening.

We know the earth has gone through changes in the past that have effected humans. But can humans really do anything to change it? It would seem if you adhere to the argument that: 'we caused climate change in the first place so only we can stop it', you've given the cause and solution to a problem that is still being debated by science.
Heres how I break down the arguments:

Left: Global Climate change is happening because of "global warming" Global warming is caused by green houses gases, green house gases are caused by man.

Right: Global Climate change is happening because of the earth. The planet has gone through periods of warming and cooling in the past and will continue to do so. There is no scientific consensus that man has any impact on the climate whatsoever.

Even if we had a consensus that global climate change should at the least be investigated, We'd end up where we started: Man causes climate change or God does, and we know the left doesn't believe in God.
