"Facts are stubborn things"

From the CNN presidential debate at Reagen Libary: Romeny's just been asked why he's stated in his ads that voting for John Mccain would put the country on a "liberal democratic course" and "doesn't he have a mainstream conservative record?"
Listen closely to the first 5 minutes. Romney seems to have all his facts straight when it comes to Mccain's voting record, he admits it's mostly conservative and then points out key legislation that does not align with conservative thought. Mccain stands by his record claiming he's the guy that "works across party lines, to get the job done"
But then Romney takes a cheap shot a Mccain: ("if you get endorsed by the New York times your probably not a conservative") Mccain is now clearly mad
What ensues is a list of Mccain accusations, all five of which were misleading if not flat out lies.
Romney calmly writes each one of them down and after Mccain's time is up one by one explains how they are lies. Mccain goes so far as to claim Mitt Romney's former lieutenant governor endorsed when him when actually endorsed Romney...
Romney eloquently concludes: "facts are stubborn things"
